Our Story

Once upon a time in the digital age, two hearts found each other and created a modern love story for the books. After the two met online their connection grew faster than they could have ever anticipated. Sara and Wesley soon found out they had a lot in common, from their passion around advocacy, to traveling the world, and to their love of their culture and family.

Wesley living in Savannah GA at the time and Sara was living in Columbia SC. They could not wait to finally meet in person. What felt like forever was a little less than 3 weeks from the time they first talked to meeting face to face. The two were smitten with the idea that they would experience “love at first sight” when they met. At last, the day was finally near and they were only "one sleep" away from having their first date. The evening prior, Wesley beautifully stated he was going to meet his wife. As fate would have it Wesley was correct!

The two lovebirds had their first date on June 12, 2022 on the Horseshoe at the University of South Carolina's campus. Equally as poetic, exactly two years later on June 12, 2024 Wesley and Sara would also take their engagement photos--check out the gallery :)

The two love birds continue to dream big and are building their lives together in Columbia SC.

Wesley now lives in Columbia SC where he is actively engaged with his community as he manages his Project Management firm while also serving on the Greater Columbia Community Relations Council. Likewise Sara is managing her Dad's 25 + years Personal Injury law firm while simultaneously building a Tax Law Suite, expanding the firm even larger. Wesley and Sara enjoy going to church, working out, discussing politics, watching old movies and discovering new restaurants.

We would be remiss to not mention the huge impact that the late Mrs. Julia Burgess Wilson ( Sara's grandmother) had on Wesley and Sara's love story. She would often state that she prayed for Wesley and Sara's union, and that credit is due in part to her! We agree, the union of Wesley and Sara was God's doing and we are thankful for Mrs. Julia's prayers :)
